14 Carrot Cafe is located just down the street from my home on Eastlake. I have wanted to check this place out for awhile now but based on the operating hours it has never met my schedule. Recently, my wife and I were vacationing in Arizona and we flew home extremely early the other day. I realized that this was finally my chance to stop by 14 carrot on the way home and get some grub. One thing I always complain about living downtown Seattle is there is never restaurants that feel mom and pop like. I come from a small town growing up and this is something important that I miss. Everyplace in downtown is so modern or tries to be trendy and this isn't always the best especially for breakfast. 14 Carrot Cafe was immediately the place I've been looking for! The second we walked in I knew I found a breakfast place that would be amazing. We were greated and got to select our seating. Quickly the kind waitress took our drink order and the food honestly came almost 5 minutes after. The service was great and quick. My mimosa was strong in a good way and the glass was large. Of course on an eggs Benny the poached egg is always the determine factor to make or break the meal. The eggs were cooked just right. Look, if you want a fantastic meal and a comfortable relaxing environment check out the 14 Carrot Cafe! You won't be disappointed. -Colter

I have frequented this lovely neighborhood restaurant for over 40 years and I LOVE that it doesn't change! The food is great cafe fare and the environment is reliably nostalgic. Lately, I have had to travel to Seattle every other week from Lummi Island to transport a friend to Fred Hutch nearby for chemo. While I wait as she endures those treatments the staff at 14 Carrot generously allows me to linger after a great breakfast so I can work on my computer - without rushing me out or making me feel unwelcome. I love the fact that it is still possible to rely on continuity and kindness. Thank you, Kristina and Kevin!

Such a pleasant surprise. Delicious vegetarian breakfast! We had the black bean breakfast burrito and Greek veggie omelet. The homemade strawberry jam was to die for! And, such a cute farm style vibe with plenty of seating.

The “Carrot Cafe” (as my 3 year old calls it) has quickly become a regular weekend breakfast spot in my family’s rotation. Cinnamon Roll French toast via DoorDash drew us in, but the homey atmosphere keeps us coming back IRL. Like any decent breakfast restaurant in Seattle, sometimes weekends can be crowded, long waits, etc. Carrot Cafe has good food AND a mom & pop soul / personality in a town being overtaken by white labeled chains with copy/paste offerings. My 3YO’s only critique: no carrots on the menu 😆

Went here with the fam early Friday morning. It is such a cool place. It's very Seattle. We were sat immediately. Our server,(idk her name) was so helpful nd welcoming. The food was so much more than I thought. I was expecting it 2 be basic and like everywhere else, like a Denny's. BOY WAS I WRONG! The breakfast was amazing. I felt like I was at home. The pancakes were fantastic. They even offered a Chkn Apple Sauage(which was cooked 2 perfection). I will definitely be back and will let all who visit the area 2 stop by.

Absolutely love this place!! My favorite spot for breakfast in Eastlake! The coffee is great, the pancakes are delicious and the cinnamon rolls are amazing. The chicken chilaquiles is my to go choice but I try to get a different dish when I come back. Can’t wait to try the mimosas.

Finally checked out this beautiful Diner! I found this place on the map when I first started (dog) sitting in this area, but I was too overwhelmed with work to go. I think a part of me was tired of taking myself out alone to nice places, too (my ex was pretty lackluster, but I digress). My Husband had the Florentine Benedict, and I had a Benedict with a CRAB CAKE ON IT 🙃 Sorry if that's a normal thing around here, it's a first for me. The pancake was a carrot cake pancake with cream cheese (we used the butter with the cream cheese), the maple syrup we agreed would have been too much. The staff seemed a little short-staffed, but they were definitely working hard, and everyone was taking turns helping people! They seemed happy to see us when we came in, too. Even the coffee was better than average 🙌 We would definitely come back.

Great brunch option in a quiet neighborhood serving up some great carrot cake pancakes. Yes, carrot cake pancakes! This is a popular brunch option so there may be a wait, but its worth it. The usual breakfast items are available with some South of the Border options as well. All very tasty but the star is their carrot cake pancakes that I order every time. I had the chicken fried steak with an extra pancake on the side. More than enough food and for a reasonable price.

We had a great dining experience here this morning 2/9/24. Not a busy morning today, but we’ve been here when there was a line out the door. Worth the wait. Delicious cinnamon rolls, filling and tasty food. Menu consists of breakfast and lunch. Open daily 8-2, except Tuesday, they are closed. Several tables, some outside dining available. Funky, fun atmosphere! Service was great, everyone very friendly.

Really good breakfast food. I was surprised by the deliciousness of the carrot cake pancake. I thought it would be too sweet and overwhelming but it was great. I got the cinnamon roll French toast which was very sweet but very good. Big portions and a great server.
